Continuing a legacy

Flörsheim-Dalsheim is well-known for some of the best terroirs in Rheinhessen. Here the gentle slopes allow the wind to keep the vines dry in our cold and wet climate, creating a healthy atmosphere of low disease pressure.

Importantly the rich limestone sub-structure interacts in harmony with the healthy loam topsoil resulting in excellent mineral uptake, ideal for fine wine production.

In 2024 we officially started converting into organic production across our entire vineyard sites, although we have never used pesticides or herbicides since the beginning.

OUR SPECIAL SITES

Nieder-Flörsheimer Frauenberg und Dalsheimer Hubacker are our flagship vineyards, proven over many years of consistently high results of quality. These vineyards as also affirmed by the prestigious VDP vineyard classification system, that gives us great confidence we do not stand alone.

The stone filled vineyard of Dalsheim Steig has been revitalised with a focus on quality and has very unique character, as it is very exposed to the wind, prolonging ripeness and allowing critical ‘hang-time’, essential for Riesling grapes to develop properly.

Finally our new plantings up the hill at Pfeddersheimer Kreuzblick, with carefully selected clones grown on virgin vineyard sites, can only be described as an exciting moment for the future development of our wine styles.
